Issue Position

We must invest in our children and our future by supporting our students, teachers and public schools. Pennsylvania currently ranks 46th of 50 in state contribution to education funding, which passes the buck to local school districts and taxpayers, and results in massive performance gaps among districts. Pennsylvania must pay its fair share at the state level so that the burden does not fall on you. We must also invest in early childhood education and pre-K, make higher education more accessible and affordable, and, at the very least, reform charter schools to hold them more accountable educationally and financially.
